Darlyn Finch engages May meeting

Orlando author Darlyn Finch engaged the fortunate group that gathered for the regular monthly meeting on May 2. Darlyn began the evening with a round of readings from her recent release Red Wax Rose, then finished off with a round of answers to questions about the book and her experience as a Writer in Residence at the Jack Kerouac House in Orlando. Red Wax Rose was completed and published while she held that three-month post, and much of the meeting's discussion revolved around her residency experience. Brad Kuhn from Shady Lane Press, the publishing arm of the Kerouac Project, was also on hand to help field questions.

Darlyn compiles Scribbles literary newsletter and is Web mistress of sunscribbles.com, a regional guide to literary events.
